Isaiah 40:9 You who bring good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, “Here is your God!” NIV

I wrote this simple little song through my tears as, once again, another difficult day had transpired. This was the song I picked to sing for Talent Night at church. I was not a member of any choir. I had never sung solo. I had only sung in the shower and in my car. To sing in the church talent show was a HUGE step for me.

And God said: Do not be afraid of this evening’s performance. I have called you and I will lead you. Be not afraid. Shalom.   And so I sang

On sunny days,

Give God the praise

On sunny days,

Give God the praise

On sunny days,

Give God the praise

He deserves it

You know it

Give God the praise

On cloudy days,

Give God the praise

On cloudy days,

Give God the praise

On cloudy days,

Give God the praise

He deserves it

You know it

Give God the praise

On rainy days,

Give God the praise

On rainy days,

Give God the praise

On rainy days,

Give God the praise

He deserves it.

You know it.

Give God the praise.

And I prayed, Father, singing my little song went fairly well. My voice wasn’t where I needed it to be, but we got through it, You and I. Thank You for being there with me. It amazes me You would have me do this. Thank You for bringing out of me things I didn’t know were there, my joyous Lord. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen. And life IS good when the Christ is in it. Bless you as you sing to Him. Shalom.
