As we begin this new adventure called HOPE, this is a year like many others. It has the normal, the everyday, the believing for more, the believing for better. There is turmoil, conflict, wonderful insights, and terrible trouble; a time unique unto itself.

There are many dreams and their interpretations, words to churches, and to me. With the troubles of life, can I still dare to dream? Can I hope for change in me, my family, and in my nation?

I hunger for 21 days in desperate response to my God’s leading. Does He require it? No. He does not require nor does He demand. He requests urgently, fervently that I follow Him into the deep abyss of death.

For fasting is a journey unto death, one which I have made before and many more have sojourned there. Moses, Elijah, and the great apostle, Paul, have all put their trust in the living God even unto death.

Fasting is a form of death. It is a death to self. It is a death to the basic necessities for life. Fasting is the deepest trusting. The great ones fasted. At God’s urgent call, so shall I.    and life IS good when the Christ is in it. Blessings to you as we sojourn through Hope together. Shalom.
