Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. KJV
Father, I oppose the things You put before me to make me better. I struggle to survive and yet You call to me, “Take up your cross and follow Me.” In context and in theory, I agree with You. Being in the painful places makes me pursue You.
But, I like the sunny meadow not the barren wasteland of my soul. I am sorry I fight Your purposes for me. I am sorry it is so difficult to obey. Change me and use me to Your glory.
Pastor Ellery said the pharaohs are to test and train us for our perfection. He also said my childhood dream to be a writer has not died. Is it still there after all these years? Will it ever come to pass?
You are loyal to those who are not loyal. You are good to those who are not good. Your goodness draws people to You. That is why millions came to Your church services. They had never known such a love and neither have I. You continue to pour out Your Spirit on all flesh. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
And God said: Child, My Presence is upon you. I Am beating the problem out of you. Like fine silver has to be pounded, so I beat upon you. I Am faithful. You will change with My guidance and direction. Fear not. I Am with thee.
I keep My hand upon thee. Fear not and be not afraid for I comfort you. Your time will come. You will see the end from the beginning and be glad you based your heart and your feelings upon Me and My Word. Be grateful, My Pet, for I Am with you and I comfort you. Shalom.
