A friend has asked me how to hear God’s voice. I know the confusion that I felt when I didn’t know how to hear Him and want to help you, if I may.
To begin with, put your hands over your ears and command every unclean spirit to be silent.
Then, prepare your heart to receive from Him. Unforgiveness is a blockage to love so first forgive then listen with love in your heart.
Next ask God a question, something that has been on your heart that you would like Him to explain or teach you and wait with a pen and paper ready.
Write down random thoughts.
When you finish writing, remove earthly, carnal words and keep the ones God has been speaking to you. When He speaks, it can sound like the bible for that is written for you by Him.
If He tells you to do something, do it. Obey right away or ask for His timing. Do what He tells you even if it feels strange or unfamiliar to you at the time.
You are going to make mistakes. God is ok with that as long as you are trying to hear Him, He is pleased with you. He wants you to hear Him and enjoys having conversations with you.
